Class Expectations
My Educational Philosophy (at least in part):
I believe all students have the ability to learn, although at times their desire to learn may be lacking. I have three general themes in my classroom, which provide direction for my "class rules"; the themes I use are respect, integrity, and, service. I believe if students are able to learn about these themes and put them into practice, then our classroom culture is one which students will be able to learn. I believe there is little that is more important than the journey toward gaining knowledge and wisdom. It is my hope that I can offer some guidance for the students who come into my classroom seeking to take this journey.

Your Role:
You have an important part in this educational journey we will be on together. Simply put, YOUR education is YOUR responsibility. I will do all in my power to help you to gain the knowledge you need to be successful in the future, but I ask that you put in at least the same amount of effort. You need to come prepared, be willing to participate, and be respectful to others in the class. If you can do this, you will be successful in this class.
